Who’s On Ukraine’s Myrotvorets List—And Did It Really Add A Young Child?

Myrotvorets (also spelled Mirotvorets) is a Kyiv-based website run by a non-governmental group that publishes names and personal data of people it labels “enemies of Ukraine,” often tied to Crimea or the war. It has no official legal status, but critics say authorities sometimes consult it; supporters say it helps identify collaborators. Human-rights groups and press-freedom organizations have condemned its doxing of thousands of journalists.

The site has listed many high-profile figures over the years for actions it frames as aiding Russian aggression or violating Ukrainian law—especially visits to Russian-occupied Crimea. Names reported as added include Roger Waters, Viktor Orbán, Zoran Milanović, Henry Kissinger, and others. These inclusions are documented by mainstream outlets and regional media, though the site itself is not an official government “kill list.”

Recent coverage shows cultural figures being added too. In mid-2024, Israeli Eurovision contestant Eden Golan was reportedly listed due to an earlier performance at Crimea’s Artek camp; in August 2025, multiple outlets reported that filmmaker Woody Allen was added after virtually appearing at a Moscow film event. These reports come from European and Ukrainian outlets, plus AP and other majors covering Ukraine’s official criticism of Allen’s appearance.

Sports figures have also appeared. Reports this summer said Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin was added, though most English-language confirmation is from Russian or secondary outlets; mainstream Western corroboration remains thin. Treat these reports cautiously and look for primary evidence on the database itself before drawing firm conclusions.

About the viral claim that Ukrainians “added a 3-year-old child to a state-backed kill list”: I could not find verification from independent, credible sources (AP, Reuters, BBC, major NGOs) confirming a 3-year-old on Myrotvorets. However, Russian state media (TASS) and aligned outlets have just reported that a 5-year-old Russian child named Nikita (born May 23, 2020) was added this week; I could not independently verify that listing on neutral sources. Because these claims are coming primarily from state-run outlets, they should be treated with caution until confirmed by neutral reporting or by verifiable entries on the site.

There have been earlier allegations about minors on the list from highly partisan outlets; without strong corroboration, those stories remain unverified. This is a fast-moving information space where both sides wage narrative battles. When assessing any “child on kill list” report, check for: a publicly viewable Myrotvorets page, archiving by neutral observers, and confirmatory coverage by established, non-state media with named sources.

Context matters: watchdogs have criticized Myrotvorets for doxing and for rhetoric that can endanger people—journalists in particular—while the project’s defenders say it helps authorities identify collaborators during a war. Both can be true: publication of personal data raises safety concerns even as wartime security services gather names. This tension is why you will see sharp disagreement over whether it is a civic OSINT project, an unofficial blacklist, or a “hit list.”

Bottom line: as of today (September 13, 2025), the specific “3-year-old” claim is not independently verified; reports point instead to a 5-year-old, and those reports are from Russian state media without neutral confirmation. The Myrotvorets database is real, controversial, and widely criticized for doxing; it has listed many public figures, but labeling it a state-backed “kill list” overstates what reliable sources can confirm.
