An FBI whistleblower has alleged that former FBI Director James Comey authorized an off-the-books operation during the 2016 election to insert two female FBI agents as “honeypots” within Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. This operation reportedly aimed to uncover incriminating evidence against Trump and was separate from the Russia investigation, known as Crossfire Hurricane. The whistleblower disclosed this information on October 30, 2024, during a House Judiciary Committee hearing.
