Drones hit several houses in Moscow
In the early morning hours in Moscow, several residential buildings were attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Despite the fact that the damage was classified as minor, the situation caused panic among civilians.
"In order to ensure the safety of residents, we temporarily evacuated people from several entrances in two houses that were affected by UAV strikes", the mayor said in a statement.
Sobyanin also stressed that, fortunately, no one was seriously injured as a result of these incidents.
One of the drones hit the upper floors of residential building No. 98 on Profsoyuznaya Street, damaging the facade and glazing. Another UAV caused damage to the facade of a 24-story residential building on Atlasova Street in New Moscow.
