Hear from transgender Montana lawmaker silenced by GOP colleagues

During an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Zooey Zephyr (D), a representative of Montana state, discussed her encounter after opposing a Republican-supported proposal to prohibit gender-affirming medical treatments for transgender minors.

-Zooey is an adult. Comparing an adult's experience to a child's is insane. Saying that allowing a child to go through puberty is tantamount to torture is absurd.

-Nothing like creating lifelong pharmaceutical patients!

-If you're a hermaphrodite, I can understand your confusion with sexual identity.  But if you're born a biological male, there's really no excuse to transition into a woman.  If you're confused about your identity, it's probably due to psychological problems that stem from family issues, in which case you'd need therapy.  On the other hand, as a free society, we should be able to do what we want within reason.
