“This woman was not raped,” Kelly stated firmly. “This accusation is unfounded.”
Kelly highlighted that the accuser had declined to participate in a pretextual conversation with Hegseth, a step authority had requested.
According to Kelly, this could indicate the accuser was aware Hegseth would present “facts” that would challenge her claims and not mislead the police.
The police report also revealed that the accuser developed bacterial vaginosis (BV) following her encounter with Hegseth, which reportedly caused tension between her and her husband. At one point, the woman requested that her husband use a condom during intercourse, according to the report.
Hegseth has consistently asserted that the encounter was consensual.
“This police report substantiates what I’ve maintained from the start—that the incident was thoroughly investigated, and the allegations were determined to be false, which is why no charges were brought,” Timothy Parlatore, Hegseth’s attorney, stated on Wednesday.
