200% TARIFFS!
NO MORE INCOME TAXES! YES!
Boy, we’re living in fascinating times, aren’t we? This is Tony, hope you’re all well. Today, we’ve got plenty to dive into, as usual. The world doesn’t seem to be getting better, and here’s one example: a recent graph shows that about $400 billion was spent in just five days, averaging nearly $100 billion per day! This massive addition to the deficit was likely done to make the economy appear stable—why now? Perhaps because something significant is just around the corner, and they want everything to look rosy.
But that’s not all we’re talking about today. I caught an intriguing moment in the recent Joe Rogan interview where the conversation echoed some things I’ve been advocating. He’s pushing for drilling for oil to strengthen the dollar—exactly what I’ve been saying! He even floated the idea of replacing income taxes with tariffs. Rogan himself was surprised, asking, “Were you serious about that?” Trump’s response? "Why not?"
This logic checks out, especially when you look back to America’s wealthiest years in the late 1800s, when tariffs were the main source of revenue. Trump sees other countries as competitors in a business sense and knows how to handle competition. For instance, he mentioned China’s massive new auto plant planned in Mexico. Trump proposed a 100-200% tariff on those vehicles coming into the U.S., effectively doubling or tripling their prices. Right after he made that statement, the Chinese company backed off from building the factory.
This is the strategy he used to keep Iran financially constrained; by imposing tariffs, he prevented them from funding conflicts in the Middle East. Meanwhile, the current administration barely uses tariffs and instead relies heavily on taxing us to the brink. Tariffs, as Trump’s example shows, could easily redirect control in a way that benefits us.
