WATCH: Witness Claims Anomalous Health Incidents Are Part Of 'Global Campaign' Against United States

During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Wednesday, Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) asked witnesses if anomalous health incidents are part of a larger campaign against the United States by foreign adversaries.

TRANSCRIPT

Mr. Chairman, what I've heard today is very disturbing. Before I get to my questions, I want to reiterate that we will do everything we can to ensure that the victims receive consistent healthcare.

Mr. Edgren, there is no evidence of an intentional attack, yet what I'm hearing from Mr. Zade and Mr. Grov suggests there might be something out there attacking us, especially on the Homeland. Based on what Mr. Zade said, what are your thoughts?

As an intelligence officer, I agree with them. I believe this is a global campaign, including attacks on us here at home. It's a strategic issue impacting us. Is this attack by the Russians, and is it against the US only or other allies as well?

I have to be careful with what I say, but in a secure setting, I could convince you all. This is a global campaign focused on attacking the best of our people, those who provide work that ends up on the president's desk. This issue is massive and not fully covered by the Havana Act, which doesn't include active-duty members who are told to go to the VA, but there's no diagnostic code, so they're not getting consistent care.

Illegal aliens often receive documents when released from custody, but these can be damaged or lost. The ICE Secure Docket Card aims to replace paper documents with a more durable card, although it can still be lost. This card will save the agency millions, free up resources, and ensure information is quickly accessible to DHS officials.

This is a combination of malfeasance and misfeasance. Some obstacles in the government block information, especially at the CIA. There's specific classified information that hasn't been shared with other intelligence agencies.

Mr. Zade, any thoughts?

I believe there might be legitimate reasons why the US government wouldn't want to make this a public issue, such as fear of proliferation of such a weapon. However, I encourage secure discussions about our findings.

If this is an attack on American officials by the Russian state, is there any way to protect our officials from these weapons?

The best way to protect our people is to fight back twice as hard and make it clear to our adversaries why we did that.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I'm out of time.
