Dr. S. Matthew Liao, a professor of philosophy and bioethics at New York University, has proposed the concept of "human engineering" as a potential strategy to address climate change. In his 2012 paper titled "Human Engineering and Climate Change," co-authored with Anders Sandberg and Rebecca Roache, Liao explores biomedical modifications to humans aimed at reducing our environmental impact.   One proposal involves inducing an aversion to red meat consumption.
