Investigation Launched After Explosive Device Detonated Outside Of Republican Attorney General’s Office

An investigation is underway following the detonation of an explosive device outside Alabama Republican Attorney General Steve Marshall's office early Saturday morning. Marshall confirmed no injuries occurred, and Alabama authorities are actively investigating.

The explosion, at the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Bainbridge Street in Montgomery, followed reports of a suspicious package. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, leading the investigation, revealed the package was an explosive device.

The incident was reported to the Alabama Bureau of Investigation at 8:19 a.m. on Saturday, with no reported property damage. This comes amid Alabama's Supreme Court ruling allowing a fertility clinic to be sued for wrongful death after embryos were accidentally destroyed, emphasizing the sanctity of unborn life in the state's Constitution.
