For millions of Brazilians, the Earth is flat | AFP

Anderson Neves and some individuals believe in a flat Earth, rejecting the idea of Earth's rotation and asserting that the sun and moon are close within a large dome encompassing our flattened planet. 

This perspective is shared by around 7 percent of the Brazilian population, as indicated by a 2019 survey by the Brazilian polling institute Datafolha. The flat Earth movement is notably active on the Internet and various social media platforms, where it continues to gain traction.
