Bidens Failure to Rescue 16,000 Americans In Sudan Is Linked to Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal Says Former CIA Official

George Beebe, former Director of Analysis of the Open-Source Analysis Group at the CIA in 2008-2009, was interviewed by Just the News on his thoughts about the Biden administration’s debacle to rescue 16,000 American nationals from Sudan. In that interview, he mentioned that rescue missions of American nationals are common, and that the administration’s lack of such plans strikes him as strange. He further argued that this lack of proper response is indicative of the administration that had such a disastrously botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Mr. Beebe noted that “This is a little bit of an unusual situation [in Sudan] in that evacuations of American nationals by the US government and by the U.S. military have historically been fairly common…[We’ve] done a lot of these sorts of things but the fact that we’re not doing it in Sudan–the US government evacuated our embassy personnel, but essentially told American nationals in Sudan that they can provide guidance on how to get out and advice, but we’re not actually going to evacuate them with US government resources that no green light for rescues missions was so far forthcoming.”
